- Sorry for making so much work for you cleaning this stuff up and I'm grateful for it. I'll for sure try to find better sources in the future. Examples of the genre itself are not very well documented in prose despite being recorded extensively on released compilations. Is there any guidance I can get on this kind of case in particular? - I'm not sure why it's promotional material. He's a well-documented music journalist and I tried to represent this accurately based on the sources I found. It's just that there isn't a lot of sources for this topic. Sleambean (talk) 04:02, 3 August 2026 (UTC) Reply
- In fact I truly don't understand your rationale on these reverts. All genre classifications are relatively retroactive, this includes labels like proto-punk and garage rock. Why is this classification any different? I'm not uniformly using poor references, there's just only a few sources on both the person who coined the term's statements on this, and in various obscure compilations. I don't see how adding for example a source to Wimple Winch from a book that details this from thirty years ago is grounds for a revert. Sleambean (talk) 04:11, 3 August 2026 (UTC) Reply
