- Wonju city and Wonju/Wonseong county (원주시, 원성군) were united 11 years ago, in 1995. See English-language history of Wonju. The map should -- and as far as I can tell, does -- correspond to the modern Wonju city, which covers the former territory of both the city and the county. -- Visviva 07:06, 14 November 2006 (UTC) [reply ]
