Jewish?

The article lists him as being in the Category:Jewish chess players. I seem to recall reading an article in which Kmoch asserted, or at least implied, that he himself was not Jewish, but his wife was, which was why they got out of Europe in the 1930s. Immortal Overprotection Game

Should the article have a reference to his composition of the Immortal Overprotection Game (http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1334664)?
