This user doesn't care whether you use {{talkback }}, {{ping }}, or {{reply to }} when you reply to him on other pages. He just wants to be notified somehow.

Afd should be speedy?

Hi Blablubbs. I see you reinstated a removed Afd template from Wilbur Soot. Thank you!

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wilbur_Soot&type=revision&diff=980335773&oldid=980335572

The page previously had a Speedy delete tag, that was removed by the original author, and that removal hasn't been reverted.

From what I can see, the page should have a speedy delete tag. What do you think?

peterl (talk) 07:25, 26 September 2020 (UTC) [reply ]

Hi Peterl, happy to help. The previous speedy tag was for copyright violations, but the source material seems to be from Fandom and is compatibly licensed (though attribution is needed); so I think that probably won't be enough for a G12 speedy. Or did you have a different speedy deletion criterion in mind? Best, — Blablubbs (talkcontribs) 09:40, 26 September 2020 (UTC) [reply ]
Ah, I hadn't seen that compatible licence. Looks like it's moot, though, as the deletion discussion seems quite clear. Thanks again. peterl (talk) 21:58, 30 September 2020 (UTC) [reply ]

Hi again. That user has removed the AfD tag (again). [1] I have restored it, and put a notice on their talk page. Is there something else that should be done (I'm not sure of the process). Thanks. peterl (talk) 02:37, 2 October 2020 (UTC) [reply ]

Peterl, you did everything correctly, although I might have escalated the warning to {{uw-afd4 }}. Given the repeated removals, I would suggest taking this to ANI if the behaviour persists. Also, quick courtesy ping to 331dot who left a final warning on their talk page a few days ago. — Blablubbs (talkcontribs) 10:40, 2 October 2020 (UTC) [reply ]
I have partial blocked from editing the article with the deletion discussion notice. 331dot (talk) 10:56, 2 October 2020 (UTC) [reply ]

Now I see why you removed. Thank you actually. It passed me by. Thank a lot. From Kelly Jnr — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kelly Jnr (talkcontribs) 13:57, 28 September 2020 (UTC) [reply ]

Armenia/Azerbaijan discretionary sanctions

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in Armenia, Azerbaijan, or related conflicts. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

orange and black

I imagine the underlying software told you, but The Black & Orange, Black and Orange, Black & Orange etc.... all go to Clifton Heights, but Black and orange is a nice insect that is, er, black and orange... You might want to check |my procedural nomination at RfD. Best wishes and all that.

Now I have made that kerfuffle, I seem to be told to have a goat singing. No, have a go at singing... OK but the dreaded thing can't hit my top A. Who brought the goat? 84.236.27.182 (talk) 08:50, 8 October 2020 (UTC) [reply ]

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll take a look and reply if I can come up with something smart. But the longer I think about this, the more I'm tempted to say that the Clifton Heights page might have to go. It's a cheap way to sidestep the redirect issue, but the page is pretty much filled with OR and I have my doubts that there's enough sourcing to be found here. Do you have any thoughts on that? — Blablubbs (talkcontribs) 09:50, 8 October 2020 (UTC) [reply ]

Editing Henry Clifford De Meillon (1800-1859)

Nama Ramayanam

Blabbus Nama Ramayanam's Lyrics were created 1000 years ago and is a public domain. I have copied it from Drik Panchang but it's not it's copyright. I want to make the lyrics reach the people of North India as it is with South India. What should I do to publish my page safely.Changing the lyrics is impossible it is already created by Pandit Lakshmanacharya. YS...896 (talk) 15:26, 10 October 2020 (UTC) [reply ]

Hi YS...896, thanks for your message. The problem isn't mainly with the lyrics, the problem is that you also copied the accompanying text and made minor modifications to it, but that is still a copyright violation. You were also probably aware of that, since the page was previously deleted as a copyright violation and you recreated it five minutes later with the speedy deletion template still intact. If you want to write about this song, you will have to establish that it meets our notability guidelines for songs and you will have to do so in your own words, not by closely paraphrasing material from elsewhere. If you want to learn more about our rules on copyright, click here. Finally, I want to note that Wikipedia is not a repository for song – especially non-English ones; you may want to contribute to a site that specialises in hosting lyrics instead. Thank you for understanding and best, — Blablubbs (talkcontribs) 15:34, 10 October 2020 (UTC) [reply ]

Actually it's not a song it is a religious verse from ramayana more likely a bhajan and I will change the introduction now in my words. Nobody to add a label to the song is alive now in this world so far. It may be by reading this people in North India will take advantage and will help them to increase there knowledge about there Religion. YS...896 (talk) 15:43, 10 October 2020 (UTC) [reply ]

Blablubbs Please Go through the Article I have made more modifications to it. YS...896 (talk) 16:06, 10 October 2020 (UTC) [reply ]

Reversion

Why are you reverting back the valid changes which I am consistently trying to make on the page?? BNJ Nilam (talk) 21:02, 13 October 2020 (UTC) [reply ]

BNJ Nilam, I reverted your edits because you blanked out templates ({{Use Indian English }},{{Use dmy dates }},{{good article }}) and the image you added is quite obviously copyrighted; it even has a watermark that says it is. Best, — Blablubbs (talkcontribs) 21:05, 13 October 2020 (UTC) [reply ]

Zapp Scooters Limited

Hi there! I saw your comment for removing sections from the Zapp Scooter Limited page and they are totally valid, I was under the assumption I needed to use the exact wording from my sources for the inline citations but clearly the opposite is required. I will be republishing a new version that is entirely paraphrased and has zero duplicate content. In the meantime, what can be done to remove the copyright badge that is on the page? Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Emmonsemmo (talkcontribs) 09:46, 14 October 2020 (UTC) [reply ]

Emmonsemmo, Hi, thanks for your message and thank you for understanding the concerns about copyright. I would recommend that you don't approach the rewrite as "paraphrasing", but instead to try to summarise the material in your own words, as paraphrasing can create copyright issues as well; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing for more information. The notice on the page will be removed as soon as an administrator has hidden the infringing revisions from the page history. For legal reasons, we cannot host copyrighted material, even if it's "just" in the page history. The removal is usually done fairly quickly – the notice will likely go away within the next few days. Feel free to message me if you have any more questions. Best, — Blablubbs (talkcontribs) 11:02, 14 October 2020 (UTC) [reply ]
Emmonsemmo, as an update, an administrator has removed the infringing material and the template is now gone. Best, — Blablubbs (talkcontribs) 17:11, 14 October 2020 (UTC) [reply ]

For god sake Vivian is NOT a transgender. She’s 100% female. The whole Transgender bull is a LIE and a misconception. Nintendo factually made her to be a female. NOT a transgender. — Preceding unsigned comment added by XenoManXD (talkcontribs) 01:03, 18 October 2020 (UTC) [reply ]

International Centre for Technological Innovations (ICTI)

Hello Blablblubbs, Thank you for reviewing Draft:International Centre for Technological Innovations (ICTI) on 13th October 2020. I have added additional references and improved the article. The draft has been resubmitted. Please re-review it. --Thomaskuttyanthony (talk) 08:09, 18 October 2020 (UTC) [reply ]

Hello Blablblubbs, I appreciate your help. I am new to Wikipedia. I have just started writing and contributing to Wikipedia. As advised by you before writing more, I would like to create my user page first. I would be grateful if you move the article to draft status.--Thomaskuttyanthony (talk) 11:43, 18 October 2020 (UTC) [reply ]

Hello Thomaskuttyanthony. Could you please tell me what your connection to ICTI is? The article was a draft; you moved it to mainspace unilaterally, after which I nominated it for deletion because it reads very much like promotion to me. I am not sure why you did that immediately after asking for more feedback for the draft – and I'm afraid I also don't know what you mean by I would like to create my user page first. Thanks and best, — Blablubbs (talkcontribs) 11:55, 18 October 2020 (UTC) [reply ]
Hello Blablubbs. Thank you for the reply. I am an alumnus of ICTI. I am not writing any paid article. I am interested in contributing to wikipedia by writing about innovation and educational/research institutions in India. As a former student I decided to start by writing about my alma mater (ICTI). I regret you felt that my article was promotional, though I have not intentionally written anything promotional/advertising. Please let me know the sentences/paragraph that you found to be written in promotional tone, so that I can edit it. I would like to rewrite and improve the article. Thank you for your help. Writing my first article in wikipedia is indeed a great experience for me. --Thomaskuttyanthony (talk) 12:37, 18 October 2020 (UTC) [reply ]
Goodmorning Blablubbs, kindly let me know whether I am allowed to edit and improve this article International Centre for Technological Innovations (ICTI) . How should I address the concerns you have raised while nominating it for deletion?--Thomaskuttyanthony (talk) 07:23, 19 October 2020 (UTC) [reply ]
Hi Thomaskuttyanthony, and sorry for the late reply. You are free to edit the page even while it's under discussion. To address the concerns I raised, you will have to establish that ICTI meets our notability guidelines (see WP:N, WP:NORG) and cut down the promotional language, which is currently omnipresent in the article. For information about the latter point, you may want to have a look at our manual of style and our neutral point of view policy. Thanks and best, Blablubbs (talkcontribs) 09:17, 19 October 2020 (UTC) [reply ]
