On 27 July 2015, UCI announced that Taborre had tested positive for the HIF prolyl-hydroxylase inhibitor FG-4592 in an out-of-competition control 16 June 2015, and that he was provisionally suspended.[3] [4] It was announced on 25 May 2016 that Taborre would be suspended for four years for the latter infraction, backdated to 26 July 2015.[5]
