Natsamrat (English: Emperor of Actors) (also known as Natsamrat: Asa Nat Hone Nahi !) is an upcoming 2016 Marathi Language film directed by Mahesh Manjrekar and will be produced by Nana Patekar, Vishwas Joshi under the banner of Great Maratha Entertainment, Gajanan Chitra and Fincraft Media & Entertainment PVT. LTD.[2]

Film is the screen adaptation of the V.V. Shirwadkar aka Kusumagraj’s iconic marathi drama "Natsamrat". Veteran versatile actor Nana Patekar will be playing the lead role of ‘Natsamrat’. Vikram Gokhale, Medha Manjrekar, Mrunmayee Deshpande will also be seen in the film.[3] [4]

Teaser poster of the film was released on 21 October 2015. Official teaser of the film is released on the occasion of Diwali.[5] [6] Official trailer of the film is released on 4 December 2015.

Plot

Film is about a veteran theatre actor who has been the best of his lot, acting in plays based on William Shakespeare’s works. But towards the evening of his career, the Natsamrat is homeless and weary.[7]

Soundtrack

Music for this film is composed by Ajit Parab.

Release

Film is scheduled for 1 January 2016 release, which is also birthday of Nana Patekar.[8]
