"13 Big Problems" is the twenty-first episode of the second season of Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero . It premiered on July 27, 2017.
Synopsis[ ]
Boone Wiseman gets a bad report card from Phyllis, making his parents mad. He tries to fix this while on their mission in the Giant Monster World.
Plot[ ]
The episode starts with Boone going to his house on his scooter, running over a dinosaur toy and a mailbox in his way. Entering the house, he sees his parents are mad at him, so Boone asks them why are they mad, so they respond him they got his report card. Boone, thinking they are referring to Gomez's class, tells them he is trying his best in the class, but his dad tells the report card is from Phyllis, not from his school, as a hologram of Phyllis is projected telling his grades. The hologram then tells that the card will self-destruct, so his mom tosses the card at the window, breaking through it and exploding. His mom then tells him that they will take away his flip-flop collection if he doesn't do better in his mission, leading Boone to gasp in dismay.
The next day at The Odyssey, Phyllis enters and sees Boone doing a performance for Phyllis, with Old Man Middleburg providing the music. Boone sings about her being the best, but Phyllis is unimpressed and activates robot claws to take the staging away. So, Boone gestures Penn and Sashi to compliment him, with Sashi using a paper note to say her compliment, looking bored. Phyllis tells Boone that he has to perform good to get a better grade before she zaps them in.
The heroes get zapped into Giant Monster World, with Penn excited that they became monsters again and starts shooting fire. Boone quickly closes Penn's mouth to avoid risking causing damage to the town, as it may get him a worse report card. Boone tells Penn and Sashi not to screw up the mission, but he accidentally steps on the memorial sculpture of monster-human peace and prosperity, destroying it, so he eats its remains to not cause suspects. Sashi asks him if he just ate the memorial sculpture, which Boone responds saying no. Penn tells Boone not to wrry and asks Sashi to check her specs and she does so; they have to prevent newborn monsters from wreaking havoc in the city, ruining monster-human peace, and bring them to nursery.
Boone suddenly starts feeling discomfort in his horn, ejecting ten eggs shortly after. The eggs then hatch into offspring resembling Boone's monster form, leading the heroes to aww in affection. However, the babies start behaving savage and attack Penn and Boone, so Sashi gets them away from them, but they then go towards the city. Boone starts crying, thinking he is gonna get a worse report card, so Penn comforts him telling him he has to clean the eggshells, saying it is the "most important job of all time".
At the city, the civilians are screaming in fear as the baby monsters are coming to destroy the city. The president gets confused at the baby monsters approaching the city, with Rippen entering her office and saying the monsters are revolting. Larry corrects him, saying the baby monsters are the ones approaching. Rippen asks him about the outfit he is wearing, so the president tells him she is his husband. Larry tells him she liked him so much she put a ring on his finger, with the president telling him she likes the feeling of his hair on her fingers.
Sashi flies Penn in front of the city so they can get ready to stop the baby monsters. Penn accidentally breaks a pipe, causing it to spray water at Sashi, leading her to fire webs at Penn. Penn, finding out she can shoot webs, asks Sashi to make a big web to trap the baby monsters, so she goes to set the web, but tells Penn not to look, as it may embarrass her.
Rippen, Larry and the president are watching the news about the baby monsters approaching, so Rippen tells her they have to destroy them, but she refuses, saying they are children. So, she instead decides what they will have for dinner as she lists various food names, distracting herself. Rippen asks Larry to tell her to defeat the baby monsters since she is her wife, so Larry calls the president to tell her, but, however, he gets knocked to the wall by a panicking civilian opening the door, impacting against a window and falling to the floor. The president sees Larry knocked in the wall before he falls to the floor, so the president, worried, calls a doctor.
Sashi finishes setting up the web and flies to Penn, who tells her they should let Boone behind all the time. However, Boone, who is hiding in a hill, tells them he heard that. Boone tells them he didn't took long to clean the eggshells and started to think they gave him a lame job on porpuse to distract him from the real mission and tells that Phyllis told him he doesn't give her "happy times" because they exclude him as he kicks a sculpture's globe in anger. The globe goes to the web and bounces from it like a slingshot, breaking the web and, therefore, leading Penn and Sashi to get trapped in webs, allowing the baby monsters to enter the city.
Rippen, watching the baby monsters, comes to Larry, who is unconscious in the deathbed. The president tells Larry that her life would be meaningless without him, but the heartrate monitor stops indicating beats, leading her to faint. Rippen tells him that he is his friend and that he is sorry for caring about winning more than him. Larry wakes up and asks what did he miss, turning out the heartrate monitor was just not working. Rippen then goes to the launch panel to activate the missiles, so the president tells him she changed the code and that she will never guess it, so Rippen responds saying "4", causing her to gasp in shock, allowing Rippen to activate the missiles.
Boone, annoyed, is on the ground as it opens up to reveal the missiles and shoot them as they home on the baby monsters. Penn tells Boone his parents didn't get mad because he screwed up, but because they love him. So, Boone stands up and watches the missiles above, so he goes to the city to jump above them to reach the missiles, stopping them by exploding them earlier. Boone then flies back to Penn and Sashi, still trapped in webs, on the last 2 missiles, extinguishing their thrusters' fire afterwards and goes to lecture the baby monsters, leaving the missiles explode in front of Penn and Sashi. Boone comes in front of the city and angrily tells the baby monsters to go to the nursery. Penn and Sashi facepalm at Boone saving the city, but Penn shortly sneezes, causing the spikes on his back to shoot out and then hatch into baby monsters afterwards, much to Penn's dismay.
At Boone's house, he gets excited by his parents allowing him to keep his flip-flop collection, so he takes out his flip-flop and goes to the collection room, revealing itself to be big and containing many identical flip-flops in there, ending the episode.
