Today we were actually part of the caravan and following (sorta) the
official schedule. I guess you can tell that we are traveling in pretty
classy company.
Here's a guy who believes that too much is not enough. Obviously not a fan
of primitive camping. We passed him about 3 times.
We managed a couple of excursions on Route 66. Here is one that included
a short segment of the 1937 alignment and passes Villa de Cubero where
Ernest Hemingway worked on The Old Man and the Sea.
Tucumcari! This is the first time I remember pulling into town and being
flagged down for a party. These people certainly make you feel welcome and
have a really good time doing it.
