Creative Commons License
The Creative Commons License is a type of public use permission statement, which is broadly known as "some rights reserved". It allows for a set of reservations that fall between the full copyright (all rights reserved), and the public domain (no rights reserved).
The license allows the author of a copyrighted work the ability to maintain a specified level of control over their property while releasing it for public use. When specifying a Creative Commons License, the author can place the following limitations/permissions on the use of the created work.
Options Include:
- Allowing commercial uses of your work.
- Allowing modifications of your work.

CreationWiki content is licensed under a Creative Commons license. The content from this site can be copied, modified, and redistributed so long as the new version grants the same freedoms to others and acknowledges the authors of the CreationWiki article used (a direct link back to the article satisfies our author credit requirement). CreationWiki articles therefore will remain free forever and can be used by anybody subject to certain restrictions, most of which serve to ensure that freedom.
To fulfill the above goals, the CreationWiki is licensed to the public under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License
- to Share—to copy, distribute and transmit the work, and
- to Remix—to adapt the work
Under the following conditions:
- Attribution—You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor (but not in any way that suggests that they endorse you or your use of the work.)
- Share Alike—If you alter, transform, or build upon this work, you may distribute the resulting work only under the same, similar or a compatible license.
With the understanding that:
- Waiver—Any of the above conditions can be waived if you get permission from the copyright holder.
- Other Rights—In no way are any of the following rights affected by the license:
- your fair dealing or fair use rights;
- the author's moral rights; and
- rights other persons may have either in the work itself or in how the work is used, such as publicity or privacy rights.
- Notice—For any reuse or distribution, you must make clear to others the license terms of this work. The best way to do that is with a link to http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/
