Amos (Hebrew: עמוס, ʻĀmōs; Greek: Αμως, Āmōs; "Name means::Burden") is one of the twelve minor prophets in the Bible, and putative author of the speeches reported in the Book of Amos. The only direct information about him comes from this book.
