In this question this question I answered with this Linq. While it does what I was looking for, I am not sure how easy the linq queries are for others to follow. Is this linq code clear enough, and how could I improve it? Update grid from source hierarchy

Edit: I added the method declaration and in the comments of the loop the body of the loop.
