# Describe the improvement
I would like to request a feature that would make fedilab more usable for many people: allow timeline tabs to include custom tabs.
Currently, timelines have two menus, the bottom and top bar menus. The bottom bar menu includes the federated, local, and home timelines, notifications, and dms which can be reordered or 'hidden'.
However, it is not possible to add custom timelines in place of some of the hidden timelines. It would be great if this could be done. This could either be done by allowing a maximum number of timelines on the bottom bar, or by allowing horizontal scrolling on the bottom bar to accommodate more than 5 timelines (the way the top bar currently allows).
For example, I rarely/never use the federated and local timelines, but would like to have one of my lists as a tab in the bottom bar. I would also like to have a timeline of all/groups of my followed hashtags, so I can get them all to show up in the same place instead of going through the menubar for each separate hashtag, when many of them are connected and it makes it easier to track new posts when the hashtags can be grouped into timelines and pinned to either the top or the bottom bars (currently they can only be pinned to the top bar, and as separate hashtags). This could also, for instance, allow a person to have two home timelines in the menu bar, one with boosts enabled, and the other without boosts so that the person can follow both original posts of followed accounts and 'boosted posts' (since most of the time, the home timeline is filled with boosts that bury original posts) easily.
This would allow a lot more customisability and user-friendliness for the use of mastodon, and increase the chances of engagement with content.
