Hello,

I'm leaving the SearXNG project: https://gist.github.com/unixfox/ee2df1cb84f00877ac7efaa11c30a06c

And unfortunately I'm deprecating my instance https://searx.be after 7 years of continuous runtime. It won't go offline directly today, but I can't guarantee how much time I'm going to keep it active since I'm no longer interested in SearXNG.

I would suggest you to switch to another well active SearXNG instance from https://searx.space.

Here are some good suggestions:

• https://search.inetol.net - hosted by inetol (active member of the SearXNG team) - fairly new instance.
• https://paulgo.io - hosted by mrpaulblack (member of the SearXNG team) - active since 2021.
• https://priv.au - hosted by vojkovic (an active community member) - exist since 2022
• https://www.gruble.de - hosted by adminforge.at - exist since 2018 or 2019 (dates back from before the instance list yaml file existed)

I would not recommend https://darmarit.org/searx/, even though it's hosted by return42, an active member of SearXNG team because it is known to block legitimate users: here and here.

You can consult the uptime of all the instances since June 2022 here: https://github.com/searxng/searx-instances-uptime

https://searx.tiekoetter.com too, that has a few extras I enjoy, and it comes with an onion service.

Thanks for letting us know directly, and sorry that this has slipped under the radar a bit until now. I will take a look at the suggestions and other possible instances as a replacement soon. We can probably also tie this in with the possible upcoming changes to how we are configuring search engines.

I would go for priv.au, it has a privacy policy that clearly states that no logs or other data will be collected.
