Update FAQ native messaging (add per OS instructions or update correct linux path) #1768

How do I get native messaging to work?

The symlink path indicated is ~/Library/Application\ Support/Mozilla/NativeMessagingHosts.

But KeePassXC Troubleshooting guide seems to point to the symbolic link solution just for Linux installs.

If that is the intended information to provide on the Librewolf FAQ, then paths should be updated to: ~/.mozilla/native-messaging-hosts and equivalent for LW.

Instructions per other OS's are under:

  • Mac OS. Path would be the one currently indicated on the FAQ: ~/Library/Application Support/Mozilla/NativeMessagingHosts.

  • Specific instructions for Windows.
