I believe https://gitlab.com/emacs-geiser/mit/-/issues/6 still persists, although the sluggishness may not be as bad as it used to be.
Try to write something like list-head or string-join and you’ll (presumably) notice a quick freeze just after entering the hyphen, before the autocomplete menu appears. When in doubt, vary your writing speed.
It is only a second or less, but still annoying if you want to write/edit code quickly.
With geiser-racket (and using the SICP package/language) there is no delay at all, so I wonder what is causing this.
- MIT-scheme 11.2
- Geiser 0.26
- Company mode 0.9.13
- GNU Emacs 28.1 (using Doom Emacs)
- macOS 10.15.6
