Hi, this touches upon #110 and #114.
When evaluating Forgejo vs Gitea by looking at activity graphs, it looks like Gitea is much more active and has a greater community. This is not per se wrong, but amplified by the fact that many Forgejo interactions are forwarded to Gitea, but not vice-versa (only the resulting commits).
Looking at pull requests for Forgejo, it could even appear like we are only rebranding without working on the code itself.
Looking at upstream pull requests and forwarded issues, people I recognize don't seem to identify with the Forgejo community.
While it shouldn't be a strict rule, I think it make sense to point out that a pull request or issue report comes from the Forgejo community. This helps to spread awareness, as well as have a cleaner identification with the project (I love to see the people around here stand together even on the proprietary platform over there).
It might be perceived as aggressive advertisement or maybe even pressure ("If you don't accept this patch, Forgejo will consider dropping the relationships"). However, it should be clear that it is not meant this way, and I think it is only fair to credit our contributions to upstream.
