Unicode support in dmenu icons? #451

The documentation states

Fuzzel also supports icons, using Rofi's extended dmenu
protocol. To set an icon for an entry, append
\0円icon\\x1f<icon-name>.

In rofi, you can also send any Unicode character like \x1ficon\x1f<span>⛄</span> to make it the icon. Does fuzzel also support that?

No, and this is not something that is planned, since it would require a largish amount of changes to the renderer, to be able to draw text in the icon area, instead of pixels.

We may of course re-consider if there's a lot of interest in this feature, but so far, you're the first one asking for/about it.
