Blocking of legitimate VPN users #1

Hi, I've been unable to reach the DivestOS website for a while because of blocklists. I found on mastodon that this has already been mentioned here but no changes were made.

On my personal machine, I have IPv6 entirely removed from the Linux kernel to reduce the attack surface of my system, making me unable to simply enable IPv6. And downloading an entire OS over Tor would be quite long. And disabling my VPN isn't on my plans either for obvious privacy reasons.

I am kindly asking for the blocking of VPNs to be removed, so that I, and other users, can visit the website freely.

Thank you in advance for your understanding.

PS: I noticed that my specific IP is in this list: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/az0/vpn_ip/main/data/output/ip.txt

That list is NOT enabled.

scfw3 by default does NOT block VPNs nor is scfw3 as configured on divestos.org set to block VPNs.

scfw3 is primarily used to keep resource usage in check as previously many bots were downloading the entire site repeatedly multiple times a day.

If your VPN IP ranges are being blocked, they are on other blocklists which focus on abuse/attacks.

There isn't a good solution here besides me getting more servers or switching to evil Cloudflare.

There is now a Cloudflare mirror, it is covered on the news page: https://divestos.org/pages/news
And if that isn't accessible, the mirrored version: https://divestos.eeyo.re/pages/news
