Working on a few color sets. Thoughts?
Still working on getting a local install of Codeberg running. I've got PrimerCSS running, but it doesn't have github components, so it'd be kind of a shot in the dark without more work.

I personally like the second one (albeit it's a bit hard to tell without seeing the colors assigned to actual widgets). Have you seen the discussion in Codeberg/build-deploy-gitea#7 ?
I should have expanded some more. The 1st is a variety of blues. The 2nd is more like primary colors, a highlight, and the global black/white. the 3rd set is the "danger, success, alert, primary, info" colors.
Yeah I saw that. I'll comment there as well.
Update: I’ve added some muted colors of the standard github color palette. https://coolors.co/eaf0f2-2089cf-2466a8-31aa4d-d03e3e
I've been editing in Stylebot bc I still can't get a local build running. But this is what I've been able to get done between projects.
All of this assuming as a v1 we'd want to keep the overall design of the site similar to Github. A redesign of the site would require a lot more work.
Ah, I understand ... that's cool.
Regarding:
I still can’t get a local build running
What is the main problem here? Is there any particular issue we might fix in order to fix this?
I've put together a color palette that can serve as a guide for all upcoming creation of Codeberg brand assets.
It contains the primary colors used in the logo (and their shades) but got expanded to a second set of primary colors plus extra highlight colors (and their shades).
A small gradient indicates a spectrum of colors that lie between palette values but can still be used. Those gradient colors are plain palette colors with an altered Lightness value.
Here is how you get those values yourself (without using the colorpicker on the gradient):

I'm going to prepare the wiki page with this as our default palette if there are no objections...
For now there is a palette in place, ready to be applied in all Codeberg related material and appearance: https://codeberg.org/Codeberg/Design/wiki/Branding#user-content-palette
closing.
No due date set.
No dependencies set.
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
