Wow! Thanks so much for spotting this :). I wonder how come that I've been using this woodpecker workflow for quite some time (i.e. pushing into main) and it has been running and deploying the website? Maybe I wasn't just paying attention :).
I've merged the fix, so closing this. Thanks once again @runiq!
Interestingly, the CI runs are not showing as being actually run in the last couple of commits to main, so I might have to actually look into all of this stuff at some point 😅 🤔 !
EDIT: All seems to work now, also added a conditional for the git commit, as the last step of the pipeline was failing when the actual result of the hugo build had no difference (which would happen upon a change in non-website source files, e.g. the README).

Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
