Why do you need a new feature?

I work heavily on a Linux workstation.

I'd like to be able to use the slicer on my Linux workstation.

With Chitubox dropping Linux support, we're basically stuck with only Lychee as a slicer. Having a good free software slicer would be much appreciated, especially if we use a licence that allows us to get packaged and shipped by multiple distributions.
Being the only slicer available in the repos will probably attract us users, and Linux users are much more likely to contribute to FOSS projects compared to Windows/macOS.

From my point of view it's a win/win situation.
