First off, wanted to say how awesome this project is, I was looking for something almost exactly like this when installing my new Faikin boards. However, I'm not a big fan of the current screen, and I think a slightly larger e-ink or e-paper display works much better with an always-on thermostat on the wall.

E-Ink support is not that hard, need to pick a suitable display panel, so will bear in mind.
