I was surprised to see the coreutils package didn't depend on attr (for extended attributes support), and openssl (for performant sha2, sha2, sha3 etc. hashing).

attr is part of base, so always installed, base group is not mentioned as depend.
Same counts for cryptsetup, part of base, and depending on openssl (more in the base group pull in other depends).
