Can't Delete Files via the File Tree #15

What happened

When I try to delete files via the file tree I get an error instead:

I suspect that this is a flatpak issue.
These are the permissions it has on my system by default:

Steps to reproduce

  1. Got to the File Tree view
  2. Select a file, right click and select "delete"
  3. Confirm
  4. Receive error message

Expected behaviour

It should delete the files

Thank you for finding this. It's a definite problem, that I see locally now too. From what I have understood so far, this problem might be a combination of things. Apparently there is an issue that was resolved in xdg-desktop-portal 1.21.2 / 1.22.0 that affects this but I guess many (most?) linux distributions won't yet have that. The latest InkyCap 26.7.2 flatpak might properly delete files if you're running on that (I haven't had time to fully try so I'm not sure) and won't be able to resume an effort on this until next month. But will look into it more. Sorry, it's a big inconvenience on the flatpak version at the moment.

Oh that's OK, take your time! I will try to test it with the newer portal version once I can update. Right now I am on xdg-desktop-portal version 1.20.3
