It would be really cool everyone travelling by HackerTrain to FOSDEM would meet up in Brussels 😸

So let’s meet up:

Saturday at 11:30

in front of the ULB bookshop (i.e. ENE from the main food truck area)

The idea is to have a short gathering, just so we get to know each other a little bit (maybe a group photo).

@hook will have a stamp with him, so if you bring your (used!) train tickets (or whatever) he can stamp it, so you have a little souvenir.

But in the other hand, it's near the closing time of the venue and many might have evening plans in the city https://bytenight.brussels/ is one them.

My preference is around lunch time but if it is short (like 10min) any time will be doable.

Is there anything planed in any BXL hackerspace on Friday ? AFAIK BN is only on Saturday

Given how diverse the evenings can get, I’d be mostly in favour of meeting during the day, but I agree that the Unofficial FOSDEM Beer Event is tempting ... the problem is that I have an organized dinner to attend to on Friday, but would be happy to join the beer event after that.

Let’s have a vote then – add 👍 to the option you prefer below:

🏫 = at ULB, let’s say Saturday at 11:30 in front of the ULB bookshop (i.e. ENE from the main food truck area) and we keep it short, just so we get to know each other a little bit (maybe group photo)

🍻 = at Delirium café on Friday evening, during the unofficial beer event , and someone else volunteers to organize it (and I join you later) – and we make the night long(ish)

I don’t have (m)any fixed points in my schedule during FOSDEM itself. We can move it to 11:30, if that helps. It was just a starter suggestion.

6 vs 1 is a pretty clear decision.

It looks as if I'll be on my own in 🐟 group, and I've already got a super busy schedule for Saturday, so I don't imagine I'll be with you myself. But do have a good time to those who are going 😃
