[Request] AppImage executable for Linux #72

I know you already did some work in #60 to have a working flatpak release and in terms of simplicity and ease of use, it is probably the preferred option. But what about an AppImage? Unlike flatpak, it doesn't have to be sandboxed (which makes life much easier when the editor has integrated terminal or needs to pull other binaries - i.e. no need for flatpak-spawn or host-spawn) and when managed through something like Gear Lever, it seamlessly integrates with the OS and can be automatically updated directly from Codeberg.

An AppImage would be an option for sure! Same with a snap, if I can figure out how to make one or someone contributes a script which builds it I would be happy to provide it.
