Zed has recently moved on from Blade to the industry standard WGPU on Linux fixing a bunch of issues by doing so. Any chance that can be backported?

I have glanced at the rewrite a few times, but to me it looked like it was introducing new issues as well so I didn’t jump on it yet. But yes, I would be open to merging a backport or an independent rewrite.

This is extra compelling because wgpu supports all platforms with one api, so we could eventually eliminate the other platform backends and avoid a lot of rendering maintenance burden
