People are asking why the page is hosted on a "regular" Pages URL - it would be nice to have the site on its own subdomain under codeberg.org, maybe events.codeberg.org, if everyone's okay with that.

@momar / @6543 - Since you're the maintainers of Codeberg Pages, are you able to set up such a subdomain?

https://codeberg.codeberg.page/Events/ is just not it... 🫣

There is literally no events organization or user with such name, so I'd think 1-all of these would be appropriate:

  • events.codeberg.page
  • codeberg.org/events
  • as suggested by OP, events.codeberg.org (or redirect)

They don't collide with anything. 👍

There is now 😅 I've created an events orga to ensure that noone reserves that name and redirects it to who-knows-where. Thanks for bringing this up!

Personally, I think events.codeberg.org is the way to go, with events.codeberg.page also registered as a fallback that simply redirects to the correct page.

I've set up a redirecting fallback under https://events.codeberg.page

I believe I added appropriate records for events.codeberg.org. I plan to take a look on how to modify the generator to make use of them, but it's open for someone else to create a PR for this, too :)
