I recently noticed the Open Graph logo variant is not updated:

The background is transaprent but should be white witha bit of white surrounding like this:

Is there an official svg/png that has the correct amount of white surrounding? I couldn't find one in the icons directory. Also to fix the Open Graph logo, this file needs to be updated.

Oh I hate that the used icons are so messy. @Gusted can we maybe make a call and go through this whole topic, and clean some things up?

I already considered to patch the build-deploy-gitea repo to fetch the latest images from the Codeberg Design CDN, but I noticed that some generated images aren't even in use any more ...

Here is the avatar version (PNG and SVG), that also works when put in a circle with 100% rounded corners:

No nothing changed. But it's kinda random which browser takes which logo at which time. My browser's tabs are using the all-white-transparent logo, if I bookmark Codeberg, it's taking a blue-white version again and at my girlfriend's browser (same version same OS now) it's also using a blue-transparent logo.

And we had issues in the past where users reported that we are using some totally distorted logo (like one with text below) for their bookmarks and reported it as fixed a few days ago. We definitely need to look into this and make sure that it's not just disappearing but also really fixed. But to be honest, I don't really understand the behaviour of web browsers here.

Maybe this is a cache problem combination, where the browser caches the image and the respective third party website also does not.

I guess if we make sure that no old versions of the logo exist on our servers we are on the safe side and things will resolve automatically.

My understanding is that this has to be a cache problem - the whole idea of the opengraph thing is that there is just one source for this kind of image. It looks like on our end it works. If an old logo pops up somewhere we can investigate and open a new issue as needed.
