To make codeberg.org really sustainable, we should connect with the Software Heritage project to crawl all codeberg.org repos. The archive already contains github.com, GitLab, etc and I think codeberg.org should be included, too.

Absolutely. To push this even further, a mirror (assmuming we can afford disk space), and a convenient interface ('import/fork heritage just like fork local repo') could be an absolute killer feature.
