Trying to fork a repo guix/guix (190K commits, 80 branches, 40 tags, 2.4GiB) takes a long time, with the page / tab spinning. And after a while an error 504 gateway timeout is reported back.
I tried a few times, and it also fails even when forking the master branch only.
After a failure, if retried early, I got the files for this repository already exist error, but retrying again a bit later, this was not the case anymore and the new fork attempt started succesfully, and then after some time the 504 is returned again.
