You can't rename images #2418

I'm in the website and I want to rename an image but it says "Binary files cannot be edited in the web interface" when i hover over it. Why? This restriction doesn't make sense at all, because even binary files can be edited in a text editor.

I already know that I can delete it, rename it on my system, then reupload it, but that's not very efficient for me or Codeberg's webserver, especially if I need to do it alot.

I also noticed that you can't delete directories, but Github has that bug too, so maybe that's just a limitation of the git interface?

Was resolved in Gitea https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/pull/34350. In forgejo/discussions#108 it is stated that "no more Gitea changes are systemically integrated into Forgejo". Therefore, I assume, Forgejo just hasn't come around implementing this yet.
