Would paying, commercial customers be considered? #2258

I searched for that topic and could not find it.

If a definite answer exists, I would appreciate if someone can point me to it.

For geopolitical reasons I am moving all IT services to Europe w/ preference for small organisations like statichost.eu in Stockhold or democratically run organisations like Codeberg in Berlin.

After moving a couple of repositories to Codeberg and becoming a member of the Association I realised, that Codeberg focuses on free and open source projects.

Now one of my repositories has reached 100MB and I received a warning message, which I understand and respect.

My question is, shall I move away or would Codeberg be interested in using me as a pilot case in offering a democratically run commercial alternative?

I am happy w/ the service as is and I am not going to make any demands.

I am happy to pay.

I'll have to defer you to our FAQ: https://docs.codeberg.org/getting-started/faq/#can-i-pay-you-for-more-resources-(private-storage%2C-ci%2C-...)

We get lots of inquiries like yours; unfortunately, in this case, we don't have any plans to drop our non-profit status or create a "spin-off" structure - many of us are doing this for the "fun of it" and not profit. There are various providers that provide commercial Forgejo hosting services (and we are happy that others are stepping in to serve such demands).
