So. I have my main repo on Codeberg. This is fine by me, I approve of Codeberg's mission for FOSS. However, forgejo actions can't be set up on Windows as far as I can see, so I wanted to set up a mirror on GitGud (basically a FOSS version of Gitlab), since it has CI/CD actions.

Creating the mirror to push from Codeberg to GitGud worked fine. However, trying to make a mirror in GitGud to push to Codeberg doesn't seem to work. How do I do this, or is it not possible?

If you face any issues with GitGud then that's a question for them, if you faced any issues with Codeberg then please post what didn't work.

I do not know if the error is on the gitgud or the codeberg side, although it occured in the gitgud client.

Specifically, when I created the push mirror in gitgud, it gave the error message Error: Host key verification failed with some subtext about how I should make sure that the repositary exists and that I have permission to push to it.

I saw something about how codeberg disabled pull mirrors because people were mirroring very large repos onto codeberg and then abandoning them - it might be that Codeberg also disabled mirror push from elsewhere to codeberg?

That's not the case. You can push mirror to Codeberg, that's not disabled (as it's just a git push operation)

That's something on gitgud's side then.
