Unexpected and frequent 5-10 second delays loading content from raw.codeberg.page #2200

Thank you for providing the possibility to host projects on Codeberg! I've noticed some very long delays when trying to remotely display Markdown content in a Codeberg repository, which my open source project Docsify-This.net does for open educators and publishers.

For example, this very small page will (often) take 5-10 seconds to initially display:
https://docsify-this.net/?basePath=https://raw.codeberg.page/paulhibbitts/demo-markdown-file&homepage=README.md#/

And this delay can also be seen when just trying to view the same Markdown in the Browser:
https://raw.codeberg.page/paulhibbitts/demo-markdown-file/README.md

Might this often (but not always) slow loading be related to the Codeberg Pages maintenance mode status? Is there a setting in a Codeberg repository that can improve performance? This slow loading is something I've started to see since the problematic DOS attacks a while back, but not 100% sure it is related.

Thanks very much for any advice or feedback.

Yes, this is an issue with Codeberg pages and there is very little you or we can do to improve it at the moment, other than waiting for a new pages server implementation to become available for public use.

Ah, I see. Thanks for confirming the cause of the issue @fnetX . I will add a note on Docsify-This about possible loading delays etc.
