release date is tag date not release date #2048

How to reproduce:

1. tag a repository
2. wait 24 hours
3. create a release based on the tag
4. (to add clarity as to why actual behaviour is wrong) click "Hide automatically generated archives", upload some assets to the release page (not ones automatically generated from the tag) and save the release page.
5. examine release page

what I expected to happen

see text "<username> released this today"

what actually happens

see text "<username> released this yesterday"

I saw a comment on this issue (since deleted) from Mia Alexandra asking for some more detail, so here I give some.

I have a repository in codeberg, let's calling it "pin", which is one of my private repos. Three weeks ago, using git from the command line, i created a tag, let's say "3.0.99.1" and pushed it to codeberg. So now, today ...

1. I go to https://codeberg.org/alexishuxley/pin/releases
2. I click "New Release"
3. In the "Tag Name" slot, I type "3.0.99.1".
4. Without filling in any other field, I click "Publish release".
5. I am taken to https://codeberg.org/alexishuxley/pin/releases
6. On that page there is the text:

3.0.99.1 Stable

IMHO this is wrong. alexishuxley tagged this three weeks ago but he released this just seconds ago.
