After LibreWolf moved over to Microsoft, I no longer have faith. I don't use the Microsoft store as I normally decrapify Windows, and the last thing I want or need is to be forced to install an app through the store.
So, I tried chocolatey (had to install it), to update LibreWolf, as well as the following:
Installed:
- chocolatey-compatibility.extension v1.0.0
- chocolatey-core.extension v1.4.0
- chocolatey-windowsupdate.extension v1.0.5
- KB2919355 v1.0.20160915
- KB2919442 v1.0.20160915
- KB2999226 v1.0.20181019
- KB3033929 v1.0.5
- KB3035131 v1.0.3
- librewolf v138.0.1.2
- vcredist140 v14.42.34438.20250221
After waiting for at least 4 minutes, I finally got the 'LibreWolf has been installed'. Guess what? It didn't, as I still have the older version. I'll hold on to the older version until it breaks, then I'll move on to something else. Yet another app that sold its soul to Microsoft.
