Thanks for the alternative platform!

I looked around issue trackers (here and Forgejo) and asked around on fedi before creating this issue but could not find anything adressing it. Please feel free to link me to the actual issue tracking this and close this issue if it's a duplicate :) Anyway, here it goes!

Have y'all discussed adding functionality to Codeberg itself, or upstreaming such functionality to Forgejo, that mimics Github's social feed? E.g. the feed you see when visiting the homepage at https://github.com as a logged in user who has followed other users. I feel like the discovery mechanisms of alternative forges are sorely lacking, and something myself and friends rely on.

In other words, if Codeberg provided a feed where a logged-in user could see activity of users they have followed—where activity is in terms of repository interactions, a user stars/forks/creates a repository—then my feeling is it would strongly increase the attractiveness of Codeberg as a viable alternative and escape hatch for users of Github.

Some scattered notes on this from a few years back, but outlined in a platform agnostic manner relying on RSS, can be found at: https://cblgh.org/rss-git/

I'd also like to supplement the above with the observation that the current feed, visible at https://codeberg.org when logged in, only shows activities on repositories I am watching, and lacks the discoverability from the interactions mentioned above.
