Can't add a repo issue to an organization project? #1744

I'd like to add Issue LACI/lacitheme#1 to Project https://codeberg.org/LACI/-/projects/12615. On the repo Issue I can see the project in the list of projects, but if I select one to add the issue to the project, the page just returns with no project assigned. The post to https://codeberg.org/LACI/lacitheme/issues/projects returns 404 (Not Found).

Expected Behavior: repo issue added to the organization project.

This seems reasonable given that you don't seem to be able to post Issues on an Organization, and that repo Issues list the Organization Projects as eligible Projects.

I am not sure but it's likely because projects on the repository itself was disabled, it seems like the specific access check doesn't check if the organisation has any projects, technically because of this you should not have been able to see the projects list but that's another bug. You can enable projects in the settings: https://codeberg.org/LACI/lacitheme/settings/units

Your suggestion works for me. I enabled projects on the repos and now the repo Issues can be added to the Organization Projects. That's a good workaround for now. Ultimately I'd rather not have repo Projects but I can live with that.

I ran into the same issue. Enabling projects for the repo fixed it, but I would like to not have projects for the repo ideally.
