It would be nice to let this plugin add users automatically to the users.auth.php and/or ask users to registrate before they actually can be authenticated by the plugin.
Or am I missing something?

That's not the aim of this plugin.
Instead, the aim is to pick login names (e.g. of a company or organization) and to grant access to them. Afterwards, these are able to use DokuWiki without explicitly logging in.
Feel free to add login names to users.auth.php by any automated method, e.g. using a small script, as long as it adheres to the file format.
Hi Karl,
That’s our aim too and it works, however, no email address will be registered and users cannot edit their username and it would be handy to be able to administer users as an administrator.
B.t.w: the authhttp + authplain + authsplit plugins seem to be what I need for this.
Best regards,
Hans
