[FR] Adjust keyboard language/layout to match source language #11

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

When switching between source languages, the keyboard language/layout stays as the default language, not the currently selected source language.

Swapping languages is particularly annoying, as the keyboard layout is incorrect, and the dictionary does not match the language currently being typed.

Describe the solution you'd like

With multiple languages and/or layouts added in the keyboard app, the keyboard language/layout changes to match the source language.

Additional context

In some apps, such as Duolingo and Google Translate, the keyboard (Gboard in this case) is able to detect the language/layout from the input field and adjust accordingly.

#7 is about not having to set the language for the input and then the app recognizes that and translates it to the target language.
Your ticket, however, as I understand it, goes about that the keyboard language adapts to the source language (if there is a suitable layout).
