I don't know if this is possible, but when an images is uploaded from the gallery 44 EXIF properties. When it is uploaded from an in-app camera, its just 6 and the geo coordinates aren't among them.

I suspect this is an iOS limitation, meant to protect the user's privacy, but perhaps there is a way to ask for the user's permission. After all, the object depicted already reveals the user's location.
