Bug Description
Binary package hint: inkscape
Inkscape 0.47 as been released in a final version on November 24th, fixing a lot a bug for professional graphic work (including PDF fixes).
Do not let in place an RC version, just like you did for Firefox 3.5 in Hardy. Getdeb is not the solution either.
It's about releasing stable-quality software for professional user on Ubuntu OS.
Gimp should be upgraded from 2.6.7 to 2.6.8 as well, but it's less critical.
Thanks for your great work.

I only saw that this was still open in Karmic a week ago. Unfortunately, I think it's too late to do anything. Karmic will reach end-of-life on 30 April 2011, which does not really give us enough time to backport Inkscape 0.47.
