内容説明
This volume describes the practical applications of a new generation of electronic endoscopes, which permit image processing and enhancement of specific parameters in real time. In contrast to conventional fiberoptic endoscopy, electronic endoscopy broadcasts an image via a video chip at the tip of a flexible endoscope to the monitoring screen, providing excellent resolution and facilitating a wide range of image processing techniques. This book reviews fundamental theory and state-of-the-art instrumentation, and describes recent advances in image processing as it relates to videoendoscopy. Special emphasisis given to diagnostic and therapeutic applications including ENT, respiratory tract, esophagus, stomach, colon and bladder. Comparative assessments of both normal and pathological findings are depicted by 140 colour illustrations of videoendoscopic images
