It would be nice if the OP could confirm that the bug described by Daniel is the same one as he gets. I can reproduce it on linux on all the versions I marked, but didn't have time to fix it yet. To the OP: If you are running Windows, try starting IDLE on the prompt, reproduce the error, and check if anything is printed back to you.
