Have you tried restarting your machine after installing the Visual C++ runtime from Microsoft? These runtimes will sometimes only finish installing after a reboot. Also, putting them in System/System32 is not "allowed" by MSVCR90.dll, either it goes into your application folder (together with a .manifest file), or into the WinSXS folder.
