I found that on my Debian64, running test_multiprocessing under gdb hangs even before the first test is started - somewhere in the installation of the Manager. And it appears that the problem is described in issue874900: "threading module can deadlock after fork". I don't know if it's a good idea to mix fork and threads, but the patch I attached to issue874900 seems to correct the hang. |
