Martin: Can you please create a PR for the added patch? If you are busy, I can do that for you, just wanted to ask before I do :) I am going to remove "easy" label from this issue, which IMO it clearly isn't given 4 years of history to catch up on and a few other related bugs. Since some time has passed since the patch was posted, I am going to target this to 3.8 and 3.7 since others are in security fix mode only.
