In https://docs.python.org/3.5/library/csv.html#dialects-and-formatting-parameters the Dialect objects are described as supporting, among others, the Dialect.strict attribute, with a default value of False. However, the sniff() returns an object lacking this attribute entirely, not even with the value None. At least on my inputs, which I'd include but they have personnel information. I can redact it if required.
