Here is a patch for UserDict, that keep current behavior, but allows to pass keys "self" and "dict" if positional parameter dict is specified.
>>> UserDict(self=42)
{'self': 42}
>>> UserDict({}, dict=42)
{'dict': 42}
>>> UserDict(dict={'a': 42})
